Depp sued his former supervisors in January 2017, accusing them of spending tens of thousands of dollars with no consent. He sought $25 million in compensation, for example years worth of fees.

“Johnny Depp is happy to have attained a settlement arrangement with The Management Group after the legal actions he took against the business at January 2017,” Depp’s spokesperson said in a statement.
“The litigation was performed from The Management Group — along with the following settlement — is a further demonstration that Johnny is decided to take firm action to safeguard his artistic and personal standing in the interests of his own loved ones and his livelihood,” the spokesperson added.
The trial has been scheduled for August 15. Both sides had a mediation together with Peter Lichtman, a retired judge who functions as an arbitrator.
