Scarlett Johansson drops out of transgender role in ‘Rub and Tug’ after widespread backlash

Scarlett Johansson will no more play with a trans male role in the upcoming movie Rub and Tug after getting widespread backlash for your casting choice.

“In light of current ethical questions raised encompassing my casting since Dante’Tex’ Gill, I have opted to respectfully withdraw my involvement in the job,” the actor said in a statement supplied to LGBT+ focusing information socket Out Magazine. “Our cultural comprehension of transgender individuals continues to progress, and I have heard a lot in the neighborhood since making my initial announcement about my projecting and realise that it had been insensitive.”

Ms Johansson was lined up to star in the movie as Dante”Tex” Gill, a real-life crime kingpin who had been born a girl but recognized as man.
